Hi, welcome to

Big City Mindfulness

It's great that you're here!
*Even if it means you might be stressed or seeking relief.

My name’s Jeff, and I’ve been on a journey of meditation and self-discovery for more than a decade. I'm interested in the convergence of science and ancient wisdom that leads us to happiness — and I'm talking about a lasting happiness, not a dopamine spike from buying or consuming something. While we all are unique, and require a certain amount of tailoring in our approach, there is something that can be accessed within each and every one of us, more often by 'cutting away' rather than by 'adding to.'

This path began when, even though I had ‘success’ and everything I desired and more, a feeling of emptiness had overcome me. It was what can be described as an 'existential crisis', that made me evaluate every aspect of my life. This cataclysm was instigated by a number of events, but the gravity of becoming a father was the strongest single factor.

Following this surrender, meditation began to illuminate a path that felt genuine and transformative — one based on a lasting and sustainable happiness. Now, it’s my intention to share the benefits of these tools by empowering you to build the foundation for your own journey.

Along the way, I've accumulated helpful tools to assist others. I’m an Institute for Mindfulness-Based Approaches (IMA) certified Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) teacher. IMA being the first training institute for mindfulness in Europe. I'm also a certified MYmind teacher — mindfulness training for neurodivergent children (those on the spectrum of ADHD or ASD) and their families — developed over twenty-five years by Dr. Susan Bögel. Also, I've taught a wide range of age groups and cultures, so it's possible for me to provide tailored workshops, as well as individual or family sessions.

Additionally, I'm a proud husband and father of two lovely children, co-founder of Bodhi Berlin Meditation Community and the It's a Dharma Thing podcast, a DJ, as well as an avid runner and climber.

The crucial aspect of teaching for me is that you are all different, and that I'm able to meet and equip each of you with the tools to build a solid foundation. A touchstone for your very own path to happiness and fulfillment.
